2017 Mayors' Legislative Breakfast

​The annual Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce Mayors' Legislative Breakfast was hosted Thursday, April 27, 2017. Edwardsville Mayor Hal Patton and Glen Carbon Mayor Robert Jackstadt presented 'state of the city/village' addresses, including updates on current economic development projects within their respective municipalities, and a recap of 2016 projects, permits and sales tax data.

Business Roundtable With Rep. Katie Stuart

The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce in March 2017 hosted an exclusive opportunity for business leaders to interact with the recently elected Illinois State Representative Katie Stuart.

Representative Stuart shared legislative updates, and attendees were able to share thoughts, issues and concerns.

Ed/Glen Chamber Hosted Congressman Davis

The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce provided a 'business roundtable' lunch opportunity for local leaders to speak with Congressman Rodney Davis (R-Ill.). The roundtable was held at Bella Milano Edwardsville.

Congressman Davis enjoys meeting with local business owners to hear how he can help make Washington work for them. He also updated participants on the Department of Labor's new overtime rules and regulations.

Approximately 20 business leaders had the opportunity to interact with Congressman Davis at the roundtable luncheon. Guests thoroughly enjoyed hearing from the congressman, sharing their legislative concerns, and learning more about federal legislation impacting businesses at the local level.

Ed/Glen Chamber Hosted Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti

The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce provided a 'meet & greet' opportunity for business leaders to speak with Illinois Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti Wednesday, April 27 at Stillwater Senior Living in Edwardsville. More than 50 Ed/Glen Chamber members attended this informal interaction with Lt. Gov. Sanguinetti.

Lt. Gov. Sanguinetti enjoyed casual conversation with business leaders from Edwardsville/Glen Carbon. The brief presentation also included remarks from Lt. Gov. Policy Director Brian Costin and a legislative update from Illinois Chamber of Commerce VP of Advocacy Staci Wilson. Special thanks to Stillwater Senior Living for hosting the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce and Lt. Gov. Sanguinetti at their beautiful facility.
